My first encounter with a staff member other than

the check-in person & the people at the buffet

 

MY Air Canada representative

 

Went to my 9:30 meeting with Air Canada rep Jose’ Luis absolutely excellent contact

 

Made arrangement for my departure on Sunday

 

He asked who everything was going

 

I said you really don’t want to know… he insisted on knowing

 

 He asked if I wanted another room, and I explained, it was in the advertising and they mislead me all the way

 

He asked my to wait for a minute or two while he checked something out

 

He came back about 5 minutes later with an offer from Manuel

to check out tomorrow before 10 and have my bags in a secure place (bell boys area) until 3:00

where I would re-check in to a new room higher with a view of the ocean as requested

 

I said sure

When I checked in  I handed the cashier $50 U.S. for my city taxes $35 U.S. but he said he had no change, but would take a credit card

I had smaller bills and gave them to him

That night about 6:00 …. I decided to try the front desk again to break a $20 U.S. bill for tips, he pulls out an envelope with wad of 20’s and 10’s no ones, I was able to get the $20 broken pup but one of the waitresses at the bar

So I figure he should be able to break up a 50 for tomorrow for tips on the excursion

MY ANSWER THIS TIME FRONT DESK CASHIER WAS THAT THEY HAVE NO U.S. MONEY

The guy who no more than 20 minutes before was standing next to him waiting on a guest right beside the drawer between them where the envelop was kept

These people lie right to your face, I can’t believe, Do they even have the slightest conception of the term “customer satisfaction” or “customer care”

 

NO MATTER HOW THE REST OF THE WEEK TURNS OUT …THIS RESORT IS THE LAST PLACE I WOULD GO OR RECOMMEND

 

RESERVATION

 

Oh yea … I made reservations to the fisherman’s restaurant and then later in the day decided to cancel, I remembered I had little to no small bills enough to get through the week at the bars and dinning

 

If you’re going to go to a restaurant you should have 5 to 10 dollars for a tip (I know tipping is not required) but a server that is getting tips is a lot more outgoing than someone working for a set wage

 

So about 2ish I cancelled, another loss thanks to the front desk bullshit

 

Room Cleaning ( probably more miss communication from my room cancellation at 10:00 this morning???)

 

Cleaning lady showed up about 4:00 in the afternoon and offered me towels

 

She didn’t make the bed, didn’t remove the garbage from the bathroom of bed area, didn’t check soap…glasses…facecloths etc. … just gave me 2 towels

 

No big deal I do this at home every day, it’s just that I thought I was on vacation LOL

Day 4

By the time I got back to my room, the cleaning lady was there and boy did she do an excellent job

Everything that hadn’t been done in the last 2 days was done and then some… new clean looking sheets on the bed… no spots on them like before???

Clean floors, emptied waste cans, shampoo and soap…IMPRESSED

BUSINESS CENTRE

Printing out something from my computer

Went to business centre in main lobby to print

What a joke 3 computers 1 missing   I won’t turn on and the other doesn’t have a link to the printer

Tried to setup printer no luck OFF-LINE

Got someone from Management because the concierge couldn’t help me

A lady took my email and sent it to herself and printed it off
