NOTHING LIKE THE BROCHURE

 

Clean but OLD and POORLY laid out

 

As for my view… what a joke

 

I ordered an Ocean View… that would be ok if they included a chainsaw to cut down all the palms trees obscuring my view that is if I could see the ocean pasted all the pools???

 

I decided to take a shower before going down to the pool

 

Hot water but LITTLE PRESSURE

 

 

Plug doesn’t work to fill the tub, discovered that if you invert it you can stop the draining and have a soak

 

Tub has a vinyl insert on it, functional but old and used looking but nice new marble tiles all around it

 

Went for a coffee at the café behind the elevator in the lobby area … opps they shut down at 5:30 and it is 5:31 I saw several people looking for a cup of coffee… at least I am not the only one looking for a cup of coffee … remember the advertisement on the internet  stating coffee machines in the room or at least pictures LIKE THESE BUT I guess that is for RCI guests of special people …that is happening a lot

One of the things I look forward to in a room when away is to wake up have a shower and have a cup of coffee before I start my day. No coffee pot???

 

 

Alarm went off from the previous resident at 6:00 my bad… should have checked to see what the earlier people did… This certainly something the staff should check when people check out remember your stay is our priority

 

As stated in another area, went to my 9:30 meeting with Air Canada rep Jose’ Luis absolutely excellent contact, he asked who everything was going. I said you really don’t want to know… he insisted on knowing.

 

 He asked if I wanted another room, and I explained, it was in the advertising and they mislead me all the way, he left to see someone and came back about 5 minutes later with an offer from Manuel to check out tomorrow before 10 and have my bags in a secure place (bell boys area) until 3:00 where I would re-check in to a new room higher with a view of the ocean as requested I said sure the next morning I was thinking about the offer to move to another room … I don’t trust them … am I doing to someone what they possibly did to me… giving my original room to someone that had an issue with the view they paid for??? It doesn’t feel right to do this

 

Remember these are the people that lied to your face last night about the American money

 

What is stopping them from saying at 3:00 we have no room for you… YOU signed out? Why can’t they just say he got upset with the hotel and left?

 

Remember I CHECKED OUT … they easily can get their friend to have a free room for the rest of the week … why not … how could I prove anything … it would be their word against mine

 

Possibly because I was going to move, although I cancelled it before 10: 00 this morning

 

Cleaning lady showed up about 4:00 in the afternoon and offered me towels

 

She didn’t make the bed, didn’t remove the garbage from the bathroom of bed area, didn’t check soap…glasses…facecloths etc. … just gave me 2 towels

 

No big deal I do this at home every day, it’s just that I thought I was on vacation LOL

 

The next day after breakfast, I got back to my room to find a cleaning lady was there and boy did she do an excellent job

 

Everything that hadn’t been done in the last 2 days was done and then some… new clean looking sheets on the bed… no spots on them like before???

 

 

Clean floors, emptied waste cans, shampoo and soap…IMPRESSED
